( A ROLLING STONE GATHERS NO MOSS )

REEMA : Madam, can you explain me the proverb "A rolling stone gathers no moss"?
TEACHER : Well Reema, as a stone which is continually rolling does not gather any moss on it, the same way an unadjustable person who continuously changes his occupation is not successful in any field of his career, and thus he becomes disappointed and disheartened at his failure.
REEMA : For instance?
TEACHER : Take the example of Mr. A. He can't stick on one job at a time. One year back he was appointed as a Sales Executive in a firm. Because of being blunt and arrogant, he was not able to make friends in the firm, which kept him isolated from his colleagues. He left the job discontended and again applied for the job of Sales Executive in ABC firm, after a year. There too he left soon due to non-co-operative behaviour of his colleagues. This way he kept on changing jobs and was compelled to work on the same position for a long time. Had he been co-operative and friendly, he would not be changing jobs frequently and would be sticking at one job for a long time. This sincerety would have made him successful in his particular field as the company continuously gives incentives and promotions to its employees.
REEMA : Thanks madam for explaining this proverb with example. I too shall try to stick at one place and become successful.
