Basics of Window 98

Find a File

To specify the name of the file you want to find, move the mouse over this area and then press the left button. Then type all or part of the name.
To specify a word or phrase within the file you want to find, move the mouse over this area and then press the left button. Then type the word or phrase.
To specify where you want Windows to search for the file, move the mouse over arrow button in this area and then press the left button.
Move the mouse over the location you want to search and then press the left button.
To start the search, move the mouse over Find Now and then press the left button.
- This area displays the names of the files Window found and information about each file.
- If Windows found several files, move the mouse over the Name heading to sort the files alphabetically and then press the left button.
To open a file, move the mouse over the name of the file and then quickly press the left button twice.
