Using Windows Explorer

Window Explorer shows the location of every folder and file on your computer.

  • Please Note : You can work with files in Windows Explorer as you would work with files in My Computer window. For example you can move, rename and delete files in Windows Explorer.
  1. Move the mouse over Start and then press the left button.

  2. Move the mouse over Programs and then press the left button.

  3. Move the mouse over Windows Explorer and then press the left button.
    • The Exploring window appears. 

  4. To enlarge the window to fill your screen, move the mouse over Maximize button and then press the left button.

  5. This area displays the organization of the folders on your computer.
    • To display the contents of a folder, move the mouse over the name of the folder and then press the left button.

  6. This area displays the contents of the folder you selected.

  7. To change the size of either side of the window, position the mouse over the bar that separates the two sides.
    • Press and hold down the left button as you drag the bar to a new location.
