| You can change the appearance of items in a window. Items can appear as large icons, small icons or in a list. You can also display details about each item. |

| An icon is a picture that represents an item such as a file, folder or program. When you first start using Windows, items are displayed as large icons. |
- To change the appearance of items, move the mouse over View and then press the left button.
- A bullet appears beside the way the items are currently displayed.
- Move the mouse over the way you want to display the items and then press the left button.
- Small Icons
: The items are displayed as small icons.
- List : The items are displayed as small icons in a list.
- Details :
Information about each item is displayed, such as the name, size and type of item.
