Change Appearance of Items
You can change the appearance of items in a window. Items can appear as large icons, small icons or in a list. You can also display details about each item.
An icon is a picture that represents an item such as a file, folder or program. When you first start using Windows, items are displayed as large icons.
  1. To change the appearance of items, move the mouse over View and then press the left button.
    • A bullet appears beside the way the items are currently displayed.

  2. Move the mouse over the way you want to display the items and then press the left button.

  3. Small Icons : The items are displayed as small icons.

     

  4. List : The items are displayed as small icons in a list.

  5. Details : Information about each item is displayed, such as the name, size and type of item.
