Introduction to the Web
The World Wide Web is part  of the Internet, which is the largest computer system in the world.

The Web consists of a huge collection of documents stored on hundreds of thousands of computers.

Web Pages
A Web page is a document on the Web. you can find Web pages on every subject imaginable. There are Web pages that offer information such as newspaper and magazine articles, movie clips, recipes, airline schedules and more.
Web Sites
A Web site is a collection of Web pages maintained by a college, university, government agency, company or individual.
Links
Web pages contain highlighted text or images, called links, that are connected to other pages on the Web. You can select a link on a Web page to display another page located on the same computer or on a computer across the city, country or world.
URL
Each Web page has unique address, called a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) 
such as: "http://www.buildyourluck.com". You can display any Web page if you know its URL. Most Web page URLs start with http (HyperText Transfer Protocal)
